An Athens prosecutor has brought criminal charges against the perpetrators of Wednesday's vandal attack on Parliament for defacing a historical monument which is a criminal charge.

Authorities have so far arrested a 36-year-old suspect in connection with the assault which was carried out by members of the anti-establishment group Rouvikonas.

A day after members of the anti-establishment group Rouvikonas hurled red paint at Greece's Parliament, one of the most heavily guarded buildings in central Athens, the leader of the conservative opposition deplored the leniency of the leftist government toward the perpetrators.

Self-styled anarchists targeted the election campaign kiosk of Athens mayor candidate Costas Bakoyannis in a vandal attack late Tuesday.

A group of self-styled anarchists on Thursday barged into the state-owned ERT radio station in order to express their solidarity with convicted November 17 terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas who has been on hunger strike since early May.

The group read out a statement on air and scattered fliers before leaving the premises.

No more information was immediately available.

I passed by United States Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt's residence on Thursday morning on my bicycle. The wall was already repainted when I returned. The official response, a tweet referring to "childish vandalism," obscures the point, but the message of Rouvikonas isn't obscure:
