Volkswagen to End Iconic 'Beetle' Cars in 2019

AFP - Volkswagen announced Thursday it would end production of its iconic "Beetle" cars in 2019 after adding a pair of final editions of the bug-shaped vehicles.

The curvy-topped sedans, which shook off Nazi origins to become a global auto phenomenon, are being sidelined as Volkswagen emphasizes electric cars and larger family-oriented vehicles.

Car Fell off a Bridge Near the Businesspark in Sofia

Car fell off a bridge in Sofia. The incident happened near the crossing of the Ring Road with Alexander Malinov Boulevard, Nova TV reported.
In the fall, the car has turned over.

A Toyota Corolla car flew off the bridge near the Business Park and fell by the nearby tunnel . The woman who drived the car was injured and taken to hospital.

Ford to import Focus small car from China for first time

Ford Motor Co. will export vehicles from China to the U.S. for the first time starting in 2019.

Ford said on June 20 it plans to move production of its Ford Focus small car from the U.S. to China, where it already makes the Focus for Chinese buyers.

Sales of small cars have dropped sharply in the U.S. and companies are seeking to cut costs making them.

Chided by Trump, Ford scraps Mexico factory, adds Michigan jobs

Ford Motor Co  on Tuesday scrapped a planned Mexican car factory and added 700 jobs in Michigan following criticism by Donald Trump, as the U.S. president-elect turned his attention toward rival General Motors Co with the threat of a "big border tax" over compact cars made in Mexico. 

Toyota begins production of C-HR model in Turkey with investment of 350 mln euros

Toyota Motor Corporation launched production of its C-HR compact SUV crossover in Turkey on Nov. 9, noting that the model would be exported to all global markets, including North America and Taiwan. 
In a statement, Toyota said production was beginning with an initial investment in Turkey of 350 million euros ($390 million) and that the production would create 2,000 new jobs. 

Renault invests 200 million euros in Turkey for new model production

Oyak Renault, the Turkish enterprise of French car maker Renault, has announced that it will produce its new Megane Sedan model in Turkey. 

The company will invest 200 million euros in the production, Oyak Renault General Manager Tunç Başeğmez said at a Sept. 7 event in Bursa, the heart of car-manufacturing in Turkey.
