BELGRADE - Improvement of Serbia's economic competitiveness will depend on the pace of digitisation of business operations and expansion of the telecommunications infrastructure, a panel of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) and Serbian government officials was told Friday.

At least one sector in the Greek economy has improved its performance over the last 12 months, as Greece climbed seven spots in the World Economic Forum's Tourism Competitiveness Index for 2017.

BELGRADE - The Serbian government and the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) on Tuesday set up a working group to boost competitiveness and expand existing and attract new investments, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure said in a statement.

The working group will be headed by PM Aleksandar Vucic and Deputy PM Zorana Mihajlovic as the deputy head.

Greece has broken every record with the speed of its fiscal adjustment and reforms, yet after three memorandums and six years, the competitiveness of its economy continues to lag behind some developing countries, according to Sean Ennis, senior economist at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's Competition Division.
