Online reservation fraud costs tourism industry millions
Online reservation fraud has cost the tourism industry at least $2 million in nine months, said a cyber security expert.
"People turned to online shopping after the pandemic broke out, buying goods on e-commerce platforms. The technically e-commerce platforms were not fully ready for this and some of them fell victim to data theft," said Serhat Özdemir.

SANS to Check the Cybersecurity of Bulgarian Posts
Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and Bulgarian Posts (BGPost) to be included in the list of strategic sites to be inspected by State Agency for National Security (SANS). This will be proposed by the Council of Ministers after the cyber attack, which blocked the work of the post offices, announced the Minister of Electronic Government Bozhidar Bozhanov.

Apple, Google and Microsoft said Thursday they are looking to get rid of passwords and replace them with a more secure way to access accounts or devices.
The U.S. tech titans jointly announced support for a common standard that will let people sign in by unlocking their mobile phones, say, with fingerprint or face recognition.

This year the police dealt with more than 115 such reports with total damage estimated at over EUR 5 million, SI-CERT has said.
