Impressive performances at the 2023 World Cheerleading Championships
Greek teams and Greek pairs put in impressive performances at the 2023 World Cheerleading Championships held in Orlando in the United States.
After winning first place in the 2022 European Championships, the Senior Cheer Jazz team was ranked fifth in the world at the 2023 World Cheerleading Championships.
Maguy Marin to perform in Turkey for first time
Maguy Marin, a prominent figure in contemporary dance who art lovers have been waiting for years to see, is coming to Turkey for the first time.
Marin, one of the pioneers of a new wave of dance in France, will be on stage tonight at Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall with his stage choreography and a masterpiece called May B.

Bejart's ‘Magic Flute’ | Athens | December 25-30
The world-renowned Bejart Ballet Lausanne returns to the Athens Concert Hall with Maurice Bejart's "Magic Flute," which is being staged in Greece for the first time. In his take on the famous Mozart opera, the legendary French-born choreographer juxtaposed the innocence of childhood with the structured rigidity of the adult world. Shows start at 8 p.m.

'Zorba the Greek' took the stage
As part of the 9th International Istanbul Opera Festival, Nikos Kazancakis' world famous opera, 'Zorba the Greek' was on the stage on July 7 at Zorlu PSM with the music of Mikis Theodorakis and choreography of Lorca Massine. The work was staged by the Ankara State Opera and Ballet. The festival will end on July 10.

What is Included in this Year's "World Theater in Sofia?"
Six titles are included in this year's edition of "World Theater in Sofia". They will be visiting various Sofia scenes from 4 to 19 June. The efforts of the organizers are focused on the search for diversity and the performances will have subtitles in Bulgarian language, the organizers say.
April 29 - International Day of Dance
On April 29, the International (World) Dance Day is celebrated. The day has been celebrated since 1982 by UNESCO's decision on the birthday of French choreographer Jean-Georges Nover, a choreographer reformer and theoretician, who goes into history as "the father of contemporary ballet".

Italian choreographer and artistic director Renato Zanella directs the Greek National Opera Ballet in a children's version of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker," with fairy-tale sets by Christof Cremer from the Vienna State Opera. Shows take place weekdays at 11 a.m. and Saturdays at 6.30 p.m. on February 3, 8, 10 and 11, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).
