Ankara condemns 'coup attempt' in Guinea
Turkey on Sept. 5 condemned a "coup attempt" in Guinea and the detention of the country's President Alpha Conde, saying it views recent developments with "deep concern."

"Turkey opposes attempts to illegally replace elected governments," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

African music icon Mory Kante dies at 70
Mory Kante, who helped bring African music to the world audience with hits like Yeke Yeke, has died in the Guinean capital Conakry on May 22 at the age of 70, local media reported.
He was suffering from a chronic disease and died at his home in Conakry.
Kante was a Guinean vocalist and player of the kora harp, a string instrument extensively used in West Africa.

BELGRADE -- Condé Nast Traveler has highlighted Serbia and its capital as a must-visit place in 2015 and one of the 15 most interesting destinations in the world.
In the article published online, Serbia ranks 8th on a list that also includes "Cuba, Helsinki, Berlin and Cape Town," the National Tourism Organization of Serbia said.
