A Top Syrian Islamist has been Detained in France
A senior member of the Syrian Islamist group, Jaish al-Islam, has been detained in France and charged with war crimes and torture.
The man, born in 1988, is a former spokesman for the group and has been in France with a student visa under the Erasmus program. He was detained in Marseille.

Turkish authorities have repatriated 150 foreign fighters detained over links to militant groups since Ankara launched a program to send back detainees on Nov. 11, Interior Ministry spokesman İsmail Çataklı said on Jan. 3.
Plane Crashed in Sudan, there are Killed
An Antonov plane crashed in Sudan's western Darfur province, RIA Novosti reported, citing information on the Al-Arabia television channel.
The plane crashed immediately after taking off five kilometers from El Geneina Airport.
15 people have been reported dead, including the crew.
