The Business is Ready for National Protests if the National Assembly Refuse to Review the New Noise Control Act

Business representativeс insisted on separation of parties and quiet zones in major cities and resorts. This was required after the official introduction of the new Noise Control Act. According to the chairman of BAZ Richard Alibegov, the changes were made without official public discussion and without consultation with the businesses.

String of negligence led to death of three people in Istanbul hotel fire

A string of negligence led to the death of three people at a hotel in Istanbul's Kumkapı district late on June 13, with the authorities finding fire emergency violations all over the building. 

Three people were killed when a fire erupted at the 66-room Skalion Hotel late on June 13 and it was determined that the hotel's fire exit doors were locked. 

Serbian parliament adopts Law on Planning and Construction

BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament adopted by a majority vote on Monday the amendments to the Law on planning and Construction which make it possible to obtain all necessary permits at a single counter in 28 days and building permits in five days.

Prior to the adoption of the amendments, it took 240 days to obtain all the documents.

Amendments to law on construction up for public debate soon

BELGRADE - Draft amendments to the law on planning and construction, which would shorten timeframes for issuing building permits, will be up for public debate soon, and are expected to be passed in August, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said on Thursday.
