Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has inspected construction works on Europe Motorway in Slivnitsa - Dragoman section, said the government press office, quoted by Focus News Agency.
The project started in mid-May this year and will be completed by 2021, it is implemented with funds from the state budget under the New Construction programme of the Road Infrastructure Agency.

Traffic on the Struma motorway in the direction to Sofia is expected to be allowed partially from today, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said on August 23. The traffic will be reopened for cars. First, it will be examined how much weight the fire-damaged viaduct near Dupnica can withstand.

Struma motorway will be fully open to traffic within three weeks at the earliest, the Road Infrastructure Agency said on August 15. The stretch near Dupnitsa remained closed as a result of the huge fire at a secondary raw material facility in the area. It is unclear how much the repair will cost after the damages caused by the fire on the motorway bridge structure.

From 23.00 to 24.00, on Wednesday and Saturday, August 7 and 10, traffic in both directions will be stopped in sections of Europe Motorway because of the installation of the electronic toll collection system, Road Infrastructure Agency said on August 5, reports BNT. 

Sales of monthly vignettes for heavy goods vehicles have been restored on July 30. So, until the introduction of the toll system, lorries will use the republican road network through vignette charges, reports BNT.

The Romanian government will be able to build the Comarnic - Brasov motorway with money from the state budget, which won't be considerably impacted, as payments will be made progressively, as the works advance, Transport Minister Razvan Cuc told a press conference on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila stated on Sunday in Pitesti that, in view of starting the works on the Comarnic - Brasov motorway more quickly, the motorway will be removed from the public-private partnership and it will be declared of national importance in the next meeting of Romania's Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT).

From 23:00 to 24:00, the traffic on Struma Highway will be stopped in both directions. This will happen at the 163rd km of the motorway in the area of ​​the of Marino Pole village near Petrich.

AM Hemus will be closed in both directions for an hour on July 13th, the API press center reported.

The traffic will be stopped in the 49 to 53 km distance from 23 pm to 24 pm in order not to hinder traffic during the day.

A car crash happened early this morning on Trakia Motorway. The traffic jam is few kilometres long, Darik Radio warned.

The incident is in the area of ​​the exit to the village of Tsalapitsa in the direction to Plovdiv. Information taken from drivers on social networks is that there aren't seriously injured people, only material damage.
