Heavy Traffic on Trakia Motorway

According to Traffic Police, there is heavy traffic on the Trakia motorway, the Ministry of Interior said, quoted by NOVA TV. 
They added  that all cars were in the active lane and that in some areas of ongoing repairs drivers could also use the emergency lane in the direction of Sofia in accordance with the signs.

6-km Traffic Jam on Hemus Highway before Vitinya Tunnel in Direction of Varna

A queue of automobiles of about 6 km has formed on the Hemus motorway before the Vitinya tunnel in the direction of Varna, the Ministry of Interior's Sofia Regional Directorate said. Police teams are on-site to assist and regulate traffic. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes if possible.

The Ministry of the Interior and the Road Infrastructure Agency (API) with special security measures for the holidays.

Enhanced police presence will be on the main roads in the country. Traffic Police will check drivers for alcohol, drugs and with what speed they are driving. All mobile cameras will be installed.

Bulgarian Road Agency: No Restrictions on Main Roads in the Country

There are no restrictions in place for the first-class roads and motorways in the country, Galin Mihalev, Road Infrastructure Agency, told Focus Radio about road traffic this morning. Nearly 300 machines were sent to treat the national roads last night. All passes are open, except Troyan and Prevala.

The Traffic in the "Topli Dol" Tunnel of the Hemus Motorway is Limited

From 10:30 to 13:30 today, the traffic in the "Topli Dol" tunnel of the Hemus Motorway in the direction of Varna will be limited due to a check of the lighting system. Traffic will take place in the Sofia pipeline in two ways, announced the Road Infrastructure Agency.
