EU paid for a report that concluded piracy isn’t harmful & tried to hide the findings

Back in 2014, the European Commission paid the Dutch consulting firm Ecorys 360,000 euros (about $428,000) to research the effect piracy had on sales of copyrighted content. The final report was finished in May 2015, but for some reason it was never published– according to Julia Reda’s blog, the only Pirate in the EU Parliament.

Most Turkish computers use pirate programs: Microsoft official

Nearly two-thirds of the computers in Turkey are running on pirated software, a senior Microsoft executive said March 21, adding that it put devices at greater risk of attack.      

"Sixty-two percent of computer users in Turkey are using pirated software," Cavit Yantaç, the company's deputy general manager in Turkey, told state-run Anadolu Agency.      

Greek fans eager to download leaked Game of Thrones episodes

Greece was amongst the top countries where fans of the hugely successful Game of Thrones series rushed to download the first four leaked episodes of the new season.

News that the first four episodes of the fifth season were available in pirated form over the Internet caused millions of fans to use their PCs to watch the versions.
