Covid-19 in Bulgaria: Case Count Update

The new cases of Covid-19 infection in Bulgaria are 719. In the last day, 9,876 tests for coronavirus have been made, show the data from the Single Information Portal. Of all tests 7,3 percent are positive.

In the past 24 hours, 40 people died of coronavirus, 284 are in intensive care wards, out of a a total of 2,969 hospitalized, 1,068 people were cured.

Turkey detects South Africa, Brazil variants of coronavirus

Turkey has detected two cases of South African variant and one case of the Brazilian variant of COVID-19, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has announced.

The number of cases related to the U.K variant of the coronavirus has increased to 196, Koca said following the Health Ministry's Science Board meeting on Feb. 3, warning that daily infections are on the rise again.

New virus infections remain above 1,000 for second day

Greek health authorities recorded 1,151 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number to 159,866.

Health minister warns of increase in new coronavirus variant cases

A significant increase in the number of cases reported with the new strain of the novel coronavirus has been seen, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has said, noting that the new strain is more easily transmitted, and the number of new coronavirus variant cases is expected to continue to increase.
