Turkish manufacturing activity expands in September

Turkey's Purchase Managers Index (PMI) for September slipped to 52.5, according to data revealed by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO) and IHS Markit on Oct. 1.

Turkish factory activity grew in September for a fourth straight month as output and new orders continued to pick up and companies hired more staff, a survey showed.

Manufacturing PMI down in February

Turkey's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector dropped to 51.7 in February, a monthly business survey revealed on March 1.

The PMI decreased by 2.7 points from 54.4 in January, according to the report by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, prepared in collaboration with London-based global data firm IHS Markit.

Serbia buys additional share of Montenegrin power transmission system

EMS bought an additional five percent of the shares of the Montenegrin power transmission system on the stock exchange.
By the way, EMS is 100% owned by the state of Serbia.
In 2015, EMS bought slightly more than 10% of the shares of Montenegrin electricity transmission system (Elektroprenos Crne Gore) on the stock exchange in the value of 13.9 million euros.

Manufacturing sees slowdown in rate of contraction in December

The purchasing managers index (PMI) that IHS Markit compiles may have shown an improvement to 46.9 points in December against 42.3 points in November, but the performance of the manufacturing sector in Greece remains anaemic due to the imposition of the second lockdown from November 7.

Output continued to decrease rapidly due to weak demand and the restrictions.
