Coronavirus: 237 new cases, 28 deaths

Greek health authorities announced 237 new coronavirus cases in the 24-hour period ending at 3 p.m. Sunday, along with 28 deaths.

There were also far fewer tests, about 11,000, compared to 29,500 in the previous 24-hour period.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 148,607 confirmed cases of the disease, with 5,469 fatalities.

Coronavirus: 721 new cases, 49 deaths

Greek authorities announced 721 new cases of coronavirus and 49 fatalities over the past 24 hours Friday.

Greece's total number of confirmed coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic is now 143,494, with 5,195 dead.

A total of 386 patients remain on ventilators in intensive care units while 950 have left ICU.

Coronavirus: 510 new cases, 47 deaths

Greek authorities announced 510 new cases of coronavirus and 47 fatalities in the past 24 hours Thursday.

Greece's total number of confirmed coronavirus cases is now 142,777, with 5,146 dead.

A total of 391 patients remain intubated in intensive care units while 911 have left ICU.

An estimated 8,700 tests were conducted.
 

816 new coronavirus cases; 48 deaths

Greek health authorities announced 816 new coronavirus cases over the past day, a number significantly higher than during the past days.

There were also 48 deaths, the National Public Health Organization said.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 142,267 confirmed cases, with 5,099 deaths.

The number of patients on ventilators is currently 399.

597 new coronavirus cases; 43 deaths

Greek health authorities have announced 597 new coronavirus cases over the past day, along with 43 deaths.

There are also 429 patients on ventilators, while 893 have exited intensive care units.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in February 2020, there have been 139,447 confirmed infections and 4,881 fatalities.

Turkey’s anti-virus measures yield positive results

Turkey's new pandemic measures introduced on Nov. 21 have yielded positive results.

According to data compiled by Anadolu Agency, 2.17 million people were diagnosed with COVID-19 among the nearly 24 million tests conducted since March 11, when the first positive case was confirmed in the country. The infection rate was 9%.
