The last Covid-free month has elapsed. 393 new cases of infection were registered this morning. There are 20 days before the number of new infections rises considerably. It is highly recommendable that people get vaccinated within these 20 days, advised Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev, consultant on vaccination process with Sofia city council.

COVID-19 in Bulgaria: 393 New Cases

In Bulgaria, 393 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the last 24 hours with 23,371 tests performed. This is clear from the data published in the Unified Information Portal.

The total number of those infected with the virus in Bulgaria reached 425,541. The total number of cured people is 398,617. The total number of deaths is 18,222.

12,428 people vaccinated against COVID in last 24 hours

A number of 12,428 doses of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson&Johnson vaccines have been administered in the last 24 hours, of which 8,470 represent the first dose, and 3,958 the second dose, according to a briefing sent on Monday by Romania's National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV).

COVID-19: More than One Million Vaccinated in Bulgaria

More than one million have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Bulgaria, it is clear from the data in the Unified Information Portal. People with a completed vaccination cycle - those who have received one dose of Jansen or two doses of the other three approved vaccines in the EU - are now 1,001,143.

COVID-19 in Bulgaria: New Cases Increase, 346 in Last 24 Hours

The new cases of coronavirus infection in Bulgaria for the last 24 hours are 346, and the fatalities are three, the data on the website of the Unified Information Portal show.

22,989 tests were performed in the last 24 hours. There are 797 hospital patients, of which 75 are in the intensive care unit. The active cases of COVID-19 are 8125, and the cured - 100.

EU Overcomes US in Vaccination Race

The European Union has been lagging behind the United States in the vaccination race for a long time, but as of this week, the tables have turned.

Few weeks back European Union declared that 70% of adults in the bloc have received at least one shot.

Now, for the first time, the number of vaccine doses per 100 citizens is higher in the EU than in the US. 

More than 42 pct of adult population vaccinated in Turkey

More than 26 million people have been fully vaccinated in Turkey, corresponding to more than 42 percent of the population aged 18 and above, with the total doses of jabs administered nearing 72 million since a mass vaccination campaign that was launched in January, according to official figures.
