COVID-19 vaccination in Bulgaria

The fourth wave of coronavirus has already arrived in some countries, some are still waiting for it, and it is inevitable in Serbia as well, experts say, considering that the opportunity to reach the expected percentage of immunization was not used.
How the states will welcome this wave depends on exactly how many citizens have been vaccinated.

It is difficult to maintain the decline in COVID-19 in Turkish provinces where the vaccinations against the virus remain below the country average, the country's health minister has warned.

It is possible to catch two Covid variants at the same time, experts are warning after seeing a double infection in a 90-year-old woman who became sick with the Alpha and Beta types first identified in the UK and South Africa.

The woman, who died in March 2021 in Belgium, had not been vaccinated.

Her doctors suspect she contracted the infections from two different people.

Malta said  it was tightening entry rules to allow only fully vaccinated people to enter the country due to an increase in coronavirus cases.

Health Minister Kriss Ferne said that vaccination certificates will be required from July 14.

"We will be the first country in Europe to take this step," the minister said.

"People with chronic diseases get the virus very badly, they have deaths. To reassure our children, get vaccinated for them.

This was said on BTV by Prof. Mira Kozhuharova, who is her advisor to the Minister of Health.

Kozhuharova has no explanation for why people are not vaccinated.

Ljubljana – Exponential growth in coronavirus infections presages a new Covid-19 wave that could continue into autumn, said the head of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), Milan Krek. He and infectious disease specialist Mateja Logar warned about imported cases, especially in light of the highly-contagious Delta strain, calling for vaccination.

Jabs administered in Turkey against COVID-19 are valid for vaccine certificates in the countries Ankara has agreements with for the reciprocal recognition of those certificates, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has said.

The Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov presented the plan in a new wave of COVID-19 at a briefing.

The anti-COVID vaccine also offers protection against the Delta variant, and without increasing the vaccination rate it will be very difficult to avoid later an increase in the number of SARS-CoV-2 virus infections, the head of the National Committee for the Coordination of Vaccination Activities against COVID-19, Valeriu Gheorghita, stated on Wednesday.

Brdo pri Kranju – Government officials and health professionals called on mayors on Wednesday to help convince the people to get vaccinated. Health professionals, including minister Janez Poklukar, warned that the situation is serious, with infections on the rise again.
