COVID-19 vaccination in Indonesia

Turkey's efforts to inoculate people against COVID-19 is gaining momentum with daily vaccinations remaining above 1 million doses.

According to official data from the Health Ministry, more than 70 percent of the population aged 18 and above have already received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

Romania's National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) has issued a new instruction on immunisation in special instances according to which if a person develops a COVID-19 infection after the first dose, he or she will be able to continue the vaccination schedule with the second dose after healing without resuming the first.

Turkey administered nearly 1.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in a single day, in a sign that the country's inoculation drive remains on fast track.

Vaccination against COVID-19 should be a must for education and businesses to continue and unvaccinated people should regularly present negative PCR test results, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has said, reiterating that schools will reopen as already planned.

More than one million have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Bulgaria, it is clear from the data in the Unified Information Portal. People with a completed vaccination cycle - those who have received one dose of Jansen or two doses of the other three approved vaccines in the EU - are now 1,001,143.

"In recent months, we have data that over 90 percent of patients have not been vaccinated. This is a significant indicator of how important vaccination is. Most of our meeting was focused on how to strengthen the response to vaccination," said Dr. Darija Kisi Tepavevi.

In the past 24 hours, 14,608 doses of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson&Johnson vaccines were administered, of which 9,007 represented the first dose and 5,601 the second dose, according to a report sent on Tuesday by the National Committee Coordinating COVID-19 Vaccination Activities (CNCAV).

Interim results from a phase 3 trial in Turkey have shown that two doses of CoronaVac, a vaccine developed by the Chinese firm Sinovac, are 83.5 percent effective against symptomatic COVID-19.
