Top officials get booster shots

Ljubljana – Slovenia’s top officials have received booster shots of coronavirus vaccines nearly nine months after they received their first shots in the early stages of the vaccination campaign. President Borut Pahor received his booster shot on Tuesday and Prime Minister Janez Janša on Monday, according to their social media posts. Speaker Igor Zorčič was vaccinated last week.

Some 5 mln people skipped their third dose, says minister

Some 5 million people who have already received two doses of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccines have skipped their third shot, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has said, urging them to get the booster shot as soon as possible.

Turkey is presently using both the mRNA vaccine developed by Pfizer/BioNTech and the Chinese company Sinovac's inactivated vaccine in its inoculation drive.

Turkey plans to offer BioNTech booster shots starting November

Turkey is planning to offer a third dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines starting from October to people who have already had two shots of the jab.

The first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech jab were administered in April and the second doses in June. According to plans under consideration, the third dose of the vaccine will start to be given in November.
