Тoday Еxpires the Deadline to Pay Our Buildig and Vehicle Taxes
Today expires the deadline for payment of the last installment for building tax and vehicle tax for 2017.
The municipality reminds that a payment can be made in each of the 22 District Directorates of the Municipal Income Directorate in Sofia, regardless of the address of the property.
POS rules become stricter for non-compliant businesses
Businesses that are by law required to offer customer the option of paying by debit or credit card will face stiffer treatment for failing to comply following a decision by Deputy Finance Minister Katerina Papanatsiou on Tuesday.
Clear incentives for greater card use
Since last week, tens of thousands of extra businesses in Greece have joined the ranks of those which are obliged by law to be able accept payments by debit or credit card. The deadline for them to install card machines passed on July 28 and any which are not able to accept electronic payment from customers face fines of up to 1,500 euros.

More taxpayers opt for plastic installments
Thousands of Greeks chose to beat the queues at banks on Monday and pay their income tax installment using credit cards, securing them the right to pay their dues in 12 tranches instead of the three the state normally allows.
Around 170 million euros was paid through cards, up 10 percent on a year earlier.

Hackers Attacked Trump Hotels
Hackers received access to the personal data of the 14 hotels entering the Trump Hotels network, including credit card details. According to the company's announcement, the cyber attack has hit the Saber Hospitality Solutions system, which is used by Trump Hotels, Nova TV reported.

Turkish online credit card payments surge in May
The total value of online credit card payments in Turkey rose by 46 percent annually to 8.5 billion Turkish Liras (around $2.4 billion) in May, the country's Interbank Card Center (BKM) announced on June 20.
Online payments accounted for 15 percent of total card payments in May, the BKM noted.

More than half of teachers fighting debt burden in Turkey: Survey
More than half of Turkey's teachers are fighting a debt burden, with one quarter doing extra work to make ends meet, according to a survey conducted by the teachers' union Eğitim-İş.
Some 25 percent of the teachers are doing extra work and 60 percent of them are not hopeful for the future, the survey revealed.

The use of credit cards in Bulgaria is becoming more widely spread, showed an analysis of one of the largest banks in Bulgaria.
Experts estimate a nearly 60% growth in the number of credit cards issued in 2015 and 2016, compared to 2014.
