Survey: Every Fifth Bulgarian has been in the Car with a Drunk Driver

Nearly one fifth of Bulgarians have been in the car with a driver who has consumed alcohol. 37% have witnessed how their relative or acquaintance gets behind the wheel after using alcohol or drugs. 275,000 Bulgarians admit that they drove while intoxicated. This is indicated by the data from a survey by the sociological agency "Trend".

Recent reports regarding corruption in the Hellenic Police (ELAS) naturally raise concern among the public. 

It is not yet possible to separate fact from fiction and whether allegations are genuine or driven by clashes between rival groups inside the force.

Murder in Sofia: A Man Died from Multiple Stab Wounds, his Son was Detained

A 28-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of his father. The report of a man with multiple stab wounds found in "Studentski Grad" was received around 17:30 on Thursday.

The teams that arrived at the scene found the death of a 60-year-old man.

The victim and the suspect of the murder are Serbian citizens, with the status of permanent residents in Bulgaria.

"Arthur E. was arrested on Sunday in Munich after his return from the USA on the charge of participation in high treason," announced the Chief State Prosecutor's Office.
