Bulgaria remains one of the primary source countries of human trafficking in the European Union and government corruption creates an environment enabling some trafficking crimes, the US State Department has said.
10 killed in police siege in India (pics)
Ten people were killed after Indian security forces stormed a siege at a police station in the Indian state of Punjab. Seven people in the police station and the three attackers were all killed during the raid. The attackers, who were armed with automatic weapons had hijacked a car and opened fire at a bus station before going into the Gurdaspur region, according to officials.
