Serbian police on March 18 arrested seven people suspected of participation in the 1995 Srebrenica massacre in Bosnia, when some 8,000 Muslim men and boys were killed, the war crimes prosecutor's office said.
      

The Special Court in Belgrade on Monday ordered 30 days' custody for one man and two women, all holders of French passports, suspected of kidnapping the two-year-old girl in the Serbian capital on March 13.

The court argued that the alleged kidnappers could flee or influence witnesses.

The number of those charged with the murder of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov in end-February now amounts to three, sources say.

Hamzat Bahayev, who was among the five detained in March in relation to the murder, has also been indicted, Interfax reports citing a person "familiar with the situation".

BELGRADE - The special department of Belgrade's high court has placed in detention for up to 30 days three French nationals suspected of kidnapping a two-year girl in Belgrade on Friday.

The two women and one man are facing charges of kidnapping, because they snatched the toddler in Belgrade's Brace Jerkovic district around 1 p.m.

French citizens held in child kidnapping case

BELGRADE -- The Special Court in Belgrade has remanded three French citizens, suspected of attempting to kidnap a child in Belgrade, in custody for 30 days.

Women who were married before turning 18 years old were more often exposed to violence by their spouses when compared to woman who married after 18 in Turkey, according to an initial report released by Family and Social Policies Ministry.

A man who served 20 years in prison for murder, attempted murder and rape, was sentenced to another five years behind bars by a court in Larissa, central Greece, on Friday on robbery charges.

He was arrested in June 2014 after breaking into an apartment in Larissa and attacking officers who tried to take him in.

BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament European Integration Committee accepted on Friday in principle and proposed to the parliament to adopt the draft law to limit disposal of property with a view to preventing terrorism, which will make room for freezing of property for individuals on lists of terrorists, their sponsors and helpers.

Two Serbian citizens charged with people smuggling

BUDAPEST -- The Hungarian police has launched proceedings against two citizens of Serbia accused of human trafficking.

On March 9, the Hungarian border police found four citizens of Serbia trying to illegally reach western Europe, traveling in a car with Italian plates driven by a Serbian citizen.
