Toddler snatchers from France put in 30-day detention

BELGRADE - The special department of Belgrade's high court has placed in detention for up to 30 days three French nationals suspected of kidnapping a two-year girl in Belgrade on Friday.

The two women and one man are facing charges of kidnapping, because they snatched the toddler in Belgrade's Brace Jerkovic district around 1 p.m.

A man who served 20 years in prison for murder, attempted murder and rape, was sentenced to another five years behind bars by a court in Larissa, central Greece, on Friday on robbery charges.

He was arrested in June 2014 after breaking into an apartment in Larissa and attacking officers who tried to take him in.

BUDAPEST -- The Hungarian police has launched proceedings against two citizens of Serbia accused of human trafficking.

On March 9, the Hungarian border police found four citizens of Serbia trying to illegally reach western Europe, traveling in a car with Italian plates driven by a Serbian citizen.
