A suspect has been arrested
Police say they have dismantled a migrant smuggling ring transporting Afghans to western Europe.
The network is thought to have smuggled around 200 migrants from Romania to France and Germany, according to Europol.
The criminals pushed migrants into the back of large lorries while drivers were sleeping, it said.
The European Court of Human Rights has decided to prioritise journalist and MEP Elena Yoncheva of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats against the Bulgarian government. She accused them of launching a money laundering case against her to repress and discredit her work, Yoncheva's lawyer Mihail Ekimdzhiev told EURACTIV Bulgaria.
Anti-narcotics teams in the capital Ankara have unveiled cocaine traffic between a Colombian drug cartel, Cali, and seven Turkish drug barons in a nine-month surveillance, according to a report by the daily Hürriyet.
"Cali cartel sent the drugs in boxes of flowers, bananas, coffee or strawberries, using air and sea routes," the report said on Oct. 3.
