Bulgaria: The Prosecutor's Office wants the Immunity of a GERB MP for "Fornicating with a Child"

The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office (SCPO) proposed to the prosecutor general Ivan Geshev to submit a request to bring to criminal responsibility the deputy of GERB Daniel Alexandrov.

He is a member of parliament for the first time and is a member of the committee on children, family, youth and sports. He is 31 years old and a competitor in classical wrestling.

Bulgaria: Police caught 10 Syrians on Trakia Highway - Two Women were Detained

Ten illegal migrants from Syria were caught on "Trakia" highway - near the village of Tsaratsovo, Plovdiv region, announced the prosecutor's office.

Detained and charged are two women, both aged 29. They are charged with helping refugees cross the country illegally.

Seven suspects remanded in girl pimping case

Seven of the eight men arrested recently in the case of the pimping and rape of a 12-year-old girl in Athens have been remanded in pre-trial detention after testifying before an investigating magistrate.

One of the men, a 20-year-old son of another suspect in the case, was released on health grounds, but must report to his local police station once a month.

Albanian court upholds detention of ethnic Greek mayor-elect

A Court of Appeal in Tirana extended the pretrial detention of the ethnic Greek mayor-elect of Himare who was arrested over an alleged election crime, state-run broadcaster ERT reported on Thursday.

Fredi Beleri was detained just two days before local elections that were held in southern Albania on May 14 over alleged voter bribery but still won the mayoral race. 

Mladenovac shooter temporarily transferred to prison hospital

SMEDEREVO - Following an order by the Smederevo high public prosecutor's office, a 21-year old man suspected of killing eight and wounding 12 people in a shooting spree in the territory of the Smederevo and Mladenovac municipalities on May 4 was temporarily transferred to a special prison hospital on Tuesday.
