Woman, 66, arrested for drug trafficking and forgery in Athens
Police in Athens have arrested a 66-year-old Albanian woman on charges of drug trafficking and forgery.
According to authorities, after an investigation on Tuesday into the suspect's involvement in cannabis trafficking in the Kato Patissia neighborhood, particularly near schools, her criminal activities were confirmed.
Seven suspects remanded in girl pimping case
Seven of the eight men arrested recently in the case of the pimping and rape of a 12-year-old girl in Athens have been remanded in pre-trial detention after testifying before an investigating magistrate.
One of the men, a 20-year-old son of another suspect in the case, was released on health grounds, but must report to his local police station once a month.

Drummer found guilty in one of four child abuse cases
A well-known drummer who had previously played with popular Greek bands was found guilty by the Athens Mixed Jury Court in one of four cases of sexual abuse of underage girls filed against him.
The court handed him a four-year suspended sentenced, acknowledging two mitigating factors, as requested by his defense, of previous lawful life and good behavior following the offense.

Two brothers remanded over journalist’s murder
Two brothers accused of murdering investigative journalist Giorgos Karaivaz in April 2021 have been ordered jailed pending trial.
The brothers, aged 48 and 40, answered charges of premeditated murder before an examining magistrate and a prosecutor earlier Wednesday. They claimed they were innocent, their lawyer told reporters.

Bulgaria: A Woman from Pernik was Killed in her Home, her Husband was Detained
The police in Pernik detained a 41-year-old man from Pernik, suspected of having caused the death of his wife.
Around 4:30 a.m. on April 29, a report was received that a 43-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment on Yu. Gagarin Street. Police officers responded immediately and pre-trial proceedings were initiated.
Player accused of rape released
Volos FC goalkeeper Boris Klaiman, accused of raping a minor, has been released on €20,000 bail. The soccer player was arrested at dawn on Tuesday in Kolonaki after he was accused of raping a teenager from Belgium who was in Greece on a school trip.
