Turkish woman walks free after killing abusive boyfriend thanks to final court ruling

Turkey's Court of Cassation has ruled that a woman who stabbed her boyfriend to death amid a sexual assault "used the right to self-defense," concluding a key case with a landmark verdict that let the defendant walk free without any jail sentence. 

Coast guard retrieves man's body from Evia coast

The badly decomposed remains of a man were recovered on Sunday from the eastern coast of the island of Evia.

The coast guard retrieved the body from a steep, rocky shore after being alerted to its presence.

The remains have been transferred to the department of forensic medicine and toxicology at the University of Athens, where an autopsy will be conducted.
