A European arrest warrant has been issued for former Croatian Serb leader Milan Martic, who is serving a war crimes sentence in Estonia, accusing him of bombing two Croatian towns.

ZAGREB - Newly-appointed Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana Porfirije was enthroned in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Zagreb on Sunday, Croatian Radiotelevision reported.

SPC Patriarch Irinej presided the solemn hierarchal liturgy.

Ex-commander Gojko Eror pleaded not guilty to being responsible for the expulsion of non-Serb civilians from the village of Berak near Vukovar in 1991, some of whom were killed.

Former Croatian Serb leader Goran Hadzic, on trial for war crimes, said that attempts by the Zagreb authorities to get rid of the Yugoslav flag sparked armed conflict in 1991.

Minister honors Croatian WW2 death camp victims

JADOVNO -- Aleksandar Vulin represented the Serbian government on Sunday at a commemoration held at the grounds of the WW2-era death camp Jadovno in Croatia.

A witness said he saw former Croatian Defence Council fighter Josip Tolic, accused of assaulting Serb prisoners at a school in Odzak in 1992, hitting a detainee who later died.

FM to attend third annual EUSDR meeting

BELGRADE -- First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić will head the Serbian delegation at the Third Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR).

The meeting is taking place in Vienna Thursday and Friday.

LONDON - In a move designed to boost long-term lending to local businesses and private borrowers in the Western Balkans and Croatia, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is extending up to EUR 500 million for on-lending to partner banks.

Economic Summit: Budget review, consumer debt, EU membership

BELGRADE -- Serbian Finance Minister Lazar Krstić said on Tuesday that he believes a revision of the country's budget will be adopted in August or in mid-September.

This will take place "after the flood damage estimates and assessment of their effect on the state budget are completed."
