Hand-sewn boat saved from oblivion in Croatia
The oldest entirely hand-sewn boat in the Mediterranean is preparing for its next journey, after having sat undisturbed on Croatia's Adriatic seafloor for millennia. But this time the vessel, whose planks were actually sewn together, will travel by land to France for conservation.

Wine production down this year, but quality better
Ljubljana – Slovenia will produce 10-15% less wine than last year, mostly due to the Dolenjska wine region being strongly affected by the spring frost. However, wine growers around the country report it has been an above-average year in terms of quality.

Slovenia and Croatia to launch bid to protect Istrian honey
Ljubljana – The Slovenian Agriculture Ministry has temporarily protected Istrian honey under the Slovenian-Croatian brand Istrski med/Istarski med at the national level using a protected designation of origin, as Slovenia and Croatia have decided to submit a joint application to the European Commission to register the honey.

Croatia Opposition MPs Take 'Agrokor Law' to Task
Croatia's parliament on Thursday was set to pass a new "special law", which is generally believed to have been designed to help the troubled private company Agrokor.
