Croatia reopens border with Serbia for refugees

Croatia on Tuesday morning reopened its border with Serbia to allow the passage of refugees into its territory very slowly, in small groups, RTS reports.

Yesterday, the Croatian-Serbian border was, after two days later, briefly opened and then closed again, but this morning the refugees are once again entering Croatia.

Serbia PM: Croatian Media Insulted My Dead Relatives

The Serbian premier on Monday accused Jutarnji list of publishing a politically-motivated article that "derides the killed members of the Vucic family" by claiming that they were not killed by Croatian WWII fascist Ustasa units.

Jutarnji list published a story on Monday which claimed that none of the Vucic family was killed during WWII.

Croatia Mulls Options if Hungary Closes Border

 

Croatia is mulling its options on refugees after Hungary again announced that it may  completely close the border with Croatia.

After Hungary closed the border with Serbia on September 15, the refugee wave promptly diverted to Croatia the next day, with buses of refugees coming from the town of Presevo in the south of Serbia to the border.

Serbia Bans Entry of Croatian Cargo Vehicles

Serbia has banned the entry of Croatian cargo vehicles and goods amid a deterioration of bilateral relations over rows triggered by the refugee crisis.

Serbia imposed the embargo in response to border restrictions introduced by Croatia, according to reports of Reuters.

The measure directed the flow of migrants across the Balkans towards Croatia.
