This is the astonishing moment a crocodile clutches a missing man in its jaws after a witch doctor claimed he summoned it to return the body.
The missing man, identified as Syarifuddin, 41, was bathing in a river with friends when the beast pounced and dragged him beneath the water in Berau, Indonesia, on Tuesday at 6.20pm.

The report refers to statements by zoologist Mert Besiktas about the instructions he has received from the “veterinary services” to investigate allegations of crocodiles in this dam.

French expert says Crete crocodile in good health, aged 4-7
A crocodile that has stumped authorities after appearing to be living in a dam in Crete earlier this summer is endemic to the Nile and is in good health, according to a French conservationist who specializes in the reptile and was brought in to help trap the animal.
