Longest pizza world record broken

A team of 80 Italian chefs managed to break the world record for the longest pizza in the world last Saturday, serving a delicious “Margherita” pizza over… one and a half kilometers long!

 

The huge pizza was presented in the 2015 Milan Expo and its exact length (1,595 meters) was confirmed by Guinness judge Lorenzo Veltri.

 

The Greek Moussaka… tradition meets taste!

It doesn’t get more Greek than a plate of Moussaka though Turks may beg to differ. In Arabic countries the dish is served cold whereas the Balkan Moussaka is nice and warm.

What differentiates the Greek version is the layers that are separately cooked before being combined in the final baking. The modern Greek version was probably formulated by chef Tselementes in the Twenties…

Mysterious golden ball

My napkin was gently folded like a bundle. As I cradled it in my palms I felt the warmth inside. It was as if it were still sizzling in deep oil. As I unfolded the layers of linen, I noticed that my golden fried ball was slightly pointed on one end. That made me curious about the cook; it was surely a clue about his home country.
