Inspired by antiquity she created innovative designs that have rapidly grown to become must-haves for international celebrities.

Romania, the 20th to take to the stage in Eurovision Final

Alexander McQueen sister says late fashion designer abused by her one-time husband
The older sister of deceased British fashion designer Alexander McQueen’s older revealed this week how her iconic brother was sexually abused by her first husband, who is also dead now.
According to the Daily Maily, Janet McQueen claims that husband Terence Hulyer viciously beat her and also abused Alexander, known as “Lee” by his family.
Greece: “Stop to illegal cultural trafficking!”
Alternate Minister for Culture Nikos Xydakis expressed Greece’s full support for the directives issued by UNESCO on the national policies to combat illicit trafficking of cultural goods. Speaking at the Third Meeting of States Parties to the 1970 Convention in Paris, he presented the Greek proposal on the illegal cultural trade called “Stop Illicit Trafficking”.

Greek changes to entrance fees at sites and museums
Alternate Culture Minister Nikos Xydakis submitted a letter to Parliament on Monday focused on changes to the entrance fees at archeological sites and museums.
The letter outlines the creation of a special working group to elaborate data on increased ticket prices based on practices abroad.
Migrant’s public self-immolation in Piraeus
A man who set fire to himself at dawn on Tuesday in Piraeus was rushed to hospital in a serious condition. The tragic incident took place at 3 a.m. outside 38 Vitolion Street. Eye witnesses say that the man, a foreigner, poured benzene over his body and then lit a match.
His body was immediately engulfed in flames as he screamed.

Bookfest 10th edition to present over 1 ml volumes, 200 publishers
Over one million volumes and 200 publishers will be on display at the tenth edition of the International Book Fair Bookfest running over May 20-24 at the Bucharest Romexpo exhibition complex, the organizers inform in a release to AGERPRES on Monday.
