Police remove animal rights protestors from Easter procession
Police in central Athens removed animal rights activists from Syntagma Square as the Good Friday candlelit Epitaphios (funerary) procession was taking place.
As the procession entered the square, a small group of activists approached the clerics and held placards stating "There is no excuse for animal abuse" and chanted slogans "against the slaughter of animals".

52% of Bulgarians did not Visit a Single Cultural Event in 2022
A study of the consumption of cultural products by the adult population of the Republic of Bulgaria shows rather worrying data. It was made within the project "Laboratory Right to Culture" of the association "Factory for Ideas" and was financed by the National Fund "Culture" under the program "Support for the recovery and development of private cultural organizations".
Nearly 28,000 foreign nationals deported this year
Nearly 28,000 foreign nationals have been deported in 2023 so far, the Interior Ministry's Directorate of Migration Management has announced.
In a post on its Twitter account, the directorate elaborated that nearly 2,500 irregular migrants were caught, while more than 1,800 were deported between March 31 and April 6.
