Sabato De Sarno named new Gucci creative director

Italian designer Sabato De Sarno has been named the new creative director of Gucci and will unveil his first collection during Milan Fashion Week next September, Gucci and parent company Kering announced Saturday.

De Sarno has previously worked for Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino, where he was most recently fashion director overseeing both men's and women's collections.

Athens Jewish Community marks National Holocaust Remembrance Day

The Athens Jewish Community, and the Regional Government of Attica, organized an event on Thursday to mark the National Remembrance Day of the Greek Jewish Martyrs and Heroes of the Holocaust. Speakers at the event included Education Minister Niki Kerameus, President of the Athens Jewish Community Albertos Tarampoulous, and the Ambassador of Israel in Greece Noam Katz.

Trial into 2022 killing of Thessaloniki youth gets under way

The 12 people accused of the murder of 19-year-old Alkis Kampanos on February 1, 2022 in Harilaou, Thessaloniki and the injury of his two friends told a court on Monday that they did not beat him. 

The trial for the soccer hooligan-related incident is taking place at the Mixed Jury Court of Thessaloniki.
