The European Commission approved the addition of the "Bulgarian white brine cheese" to the list of protected geographical indications of the EU. With today's decision, this traditional Bulgarian product enters the list of 1,646 already protected agricultural products. This quality scheme applies to foods and wines whose origin is linked to a specific place of production.

Many people have a habit of eating large amounts of food at dinner, and shortly before bedtime they finish off the evening with something else - popcorn in front of the TV, sweets, or a few more bites of the delicious dinner.

The Bradet stretched-curd cheese, a traditional deli food whose name was "borrowed" by producers all over the country, has its origins in the north-western part of Arges County, specifically in the Bradulet commune that sits on the upper course of the Valsan river.
