Google's security experts have found evidence of prolonged hack attempts against the iPhone users for two years. The attack was carried out through websites that discreetly installed malware to collect contacts, images and other data. These sites were visited thousands of times a week.

More than 40 US cities have undergone cyberattacks. The hackers have used a program to encrypt data on computers of citizens and companies. They were then asked for ransom for their decryption, the New York Times reported, quoted by the BTA.

The bomb threat emails to airports and media in Bulgaria were sent by providers from Switzerland and Seychelles, the Chief Directorate for Combatting Organised Crime (CDCOC) said on August 22. A day earlier, such emails were sent to institutions in several other European countries and in Vancouver, Canada, reports BNT. 

Bulgaria is the first country in Europe to offer insurance against hacking attacks. Both citizens and institutions and businesses will be able to benefit from the service. The IT sector has been pushing for more effective work between institutions and the private sector to prevent hacking attacks. One good example is Israel, where good public-private partnerships work.

The Bulgarian government and the IT industry must cooperate to create cyber-security infrastructure, said Bulgarian Cybersecurity Association President Miroslav Stefanov during an open discussion on "Public-Private Partnership Opportunities in the Field of Cybersecurity."
