Veterans recall Turkey's 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation

On its 47th anniversary, veterans recalled Turkey's Cyprus Peace Operation launched by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) to bring peace and safety to the island and to the Turkish Cypriots who had suffered from years of persecution.

Turkish Cypriot leader points to rise of far right in southern Cyprus

Turkish Cypriot President Ersin Tatar said May 31 there was a significant increase in votes for the far-right ultra-nationalist National Popular Front (ELAM) in the latest legislative elections in the Greek Administration of Southern Cyprus (GASC).
