Klaus, Zeman: Kosovo a terrorist state, Prague should not have recognised it
PRAGUE - In an interview marking 25 years of their country's NATO membership, former Czech presidents Vaclav Klaus and Milos Zeman told public television broadcaster Ceska televize the 1999 NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was a huge mistake and that the so-called Kosovo was a terrorist state Prague should not have recognised.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday what outgoing Czech President Milos Zeman had said two years ago was etched in the heart of every Serbian citizen, and noted that no European leader was as popular in Serbia as Zeman.
Zeman to visit Serbia on January 30
PRAGUE - Czech President Milos Zeman will visit Serbia on Monday, January 30, it was announced in Prague on Friday.
The trip to Belgrade will be Zeman's farewell visit at the end of his five-year presidential term.
He is scheduled to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, with whom he will also open the renovated Czech House.

Presidential election campaign gets going in earnest
Ljubljana – Today is the first day when candidates vying to become Slovenia’s new president in the 23 October election can submit their candidacy, and voters can formally support their candidates with signatures.
The candidates have until 28 September to submit their candidacy with the National Electoral Commission.

The president is still to appoint the other 17 ministerial nominees. That's meant to be a formality, but Zeman is a master of turning such formalities into political drama.
The president has told the country that he plans to object to one ministerial nomination. While he didn't name anybody, the proposal of Jan Lipavsky as foreign minister is widely assumed to be the target.

"Worse than a crime" - that is how the Czech President described the bombing of Yugoslavia. At the time when the bombing was being decided upon, that country was in NATO for only a few weeks, and was the last one to give its consent, says Zeman, emphasizing that decision as a lack of courage.
