Soul diva Martha High comes to Greece for a short residency at the Half Note Jazz Club with the Soul Cookers band. The vocalist broke out on the gospel and jazz scene in the 1960s after going on tour with James Brown as a backing singer, and went on to perform with some of the greatest names of the genre, later evolving into disco and funk.
Swedish synth-pop artist Molly Nilsson takes the stage at Death Disco in downtown Athens on Saturday, September 30, with a setlist of tracks from her recent album, "Imaginations," as well as older work that highlights the 32-year-old's evolution from "These Things Take Time," her debut album in 2008. She is joined by Marva von Theo, a duet that draws inspiration from 1980s dark wave.
BELGRADE - The Belgrade tango meeting, one of the biggest international festivals of its kind in Europe, will be held April 9-14.
The organizer, Institute Tango Natural, promises that this year's event will also include plenty of dancers and guests from over 45 countries.
Last year, the event attracted more than 400 foreigners, and even more are expected this year.
