Daily readings at tomb honor Dante 700 years after his death
As she has each evening for the last eight months, Giuliana Turati opened her well-worn copy of Dante's "Divine Comedy" as the last of 13 peels of a church bell reverberated around the tomb of the great Italian poet.
Italy Declared March 25 as Dante Alighieri National Day
The Italian government has set up a Dante Alighieri National Day or or "Dantedì" which will be celebrated annually on March 25, Italian media reported.
The decision was adopted by the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini.
Clouzot's L'Enfer | Athens | July 12
The Bios venue in downtown Athens is screening iconic silent movies, accompanied by music, on its rooftop. On Wednesday, July 12, it will be showing Henri-Georges Clouzot's "L'Enfer" (Inferno), a tale of crazy jealousy inspired by Dante and Proust, which was unfinished when released in 1964 and is shot partly in black-and-white and partly in color. The screening starts at 9.15 p.m.

Rodin's The Thinker Exhibited in Bulgaria's National Art Gallery
The original of one of the most recognized sculptures of all time, The Thinker by Auguste Rodin, is already in Bulgaria's capital Sofia.
The National Art Gallery will host an exhibition of the renown French sculptor which will include 80 sculptures and 20 drawings some of which leave the Rodin museum in Paris for the first time, Bulgarian National Radio informs.
