Croatia "won't use bilateral issues" against Serbia

BELGRADE -- Croatia "will not use bilateral issues to impose conditions" on Serbia during the country’s negotiations on EU membership, Gordan Markotić has said.

Croatia's ambassador to Serbia explained that these issues "include border demarcation on the Danube and mutual genocide charges."

The Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Romania, Plamen Oresharski and Victor Ponta, have agreed to back Serbia's EU bid at a meeting in the Danube city of Ruse.

Romania has become Bulgaria's third largest trading partner after Germany and Italy, partly as a result of the New Europe Bridge, which opened last year, officials say.

BELGRADE - Minister of Transport Aleksandar Antic said on Friday that Serbia does not have a single facility for disposing of ship-generated waste, so a total of nine facilities should be built along the Danube, Sava, Tisa rivers.
