It is expected this year the millionth car to pass through Danube Bridge 2, reported the Bulgarian National Television.

For the first time since the facility was opened, the annual number of vehicles passed on will exceed one million.

 There are about 2800 vehicles crossing the bridge a day, with more than half of them being heavy-duty.

There is heavy truck traffic from Bulgaria on the checkpoints of Kapitan Andreevo and Danube Bridge Ruse, Border Police said. There is normal traffic on all checkpoints on the borders with Serbia, Macedonia and Greece.

As of 6.00 am, there is heavy truck traffic from Bulgaria on the borders with Romania, Turkey and Greece, Border Police said. On the border with Greece, there is considerable truck traffic at exit on Kulata checkpoint. The same is the situation on the checkpoints of Kapitan Andreevo, Lesovo, Danube Bridge Ruse and Danube Bridge Vidin.

Romania intends to reinvigorate the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), Minister Delegate for European Affairs Victor Negrescu told the EUSDR National Forum, an event organized on Monday at the Palace of Parliament, on the occasion of the launch of Romania's EUSDR Presidency.

As of today, 1 November 2018, Romania takes over the Presidency of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), a position in which it will propose the allocation of additional financial resources for the development of the region's potential that this region has.

Sofia. On the checkpoints Danube Bridge-Vidin and Danube Bridge-Ruse, there is very heavy truck traffic to Romania, according to Border Police data as of 1.00 pm. On the border with Turkey, there is heavy truck traffic on Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo from Bulgaria, reports Focus News Agency.

Sofia. А technical glitch is causing difficulties to the processing of persons and vehicles entering and exiting Bulgaria, said the press office of the Border Police.

Sofia. At the Bulgarian-Turkish border at Malko Tarnovo checkpoint, there is heavy traffic of automobiles in both directions. At the border with Romania at Danube Bridge-Vidin, the truck traffic is heavy on exit. At the Danube Bridge-Ruse there is heavy traffic of automobiles in both directions, Border Police told Focus News Agency.

Sofia. There is heavy traffic of trucks exiting Bulgaria through Danube Bridge and Danube Bridge 2 border checkpoints, according to information on the Border Police website as of 6:00 am this morning. At the borders with Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Turkey traffic is normal at all checkpoints.
