How JFK would pursue peace in Ukraine
President John F. Kennedy was one of the world's great peacemakers. He led a peaceful solution to the Cuban Missile Crisis and then successfully negotiated the Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty with the Soviet Union at the very height of the Cold War. At the time of his assassination, he was taking steps to end US involvement in Vietnam.

Aims and expectations
Despite the post-election arrogance displayed by some cadres - which could cost New Democracy the absolute majority it is aiming for and was quickly nipped in the bud by its leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis - the conservatives will win the June 25 election too, and again with a lead so significant over the second party that no one could have imagined or predicted it a few weeks ago.

The Eurozone economy was in a technical recession in the first three months of 2023, according to data published earlier today by the European statistical office Eurostat, BTA reported.
PM: Outright majority or new election
Having hinted on Tuesday at the possibility of a third election, New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized that if his center-right party fails to win an outright majority in the June 25 election, then a third ballot is almost a foregone conclusion.

TV debate between party leaders confirmed ahead of June 25 ballot
The leaders of the five parties contesting the June 25 election after making it into Parliament in the May 21 ballot will be locking horns in a televised debate, it was announced on Tuesday.
The debate will be aired by state broadcaster ERT on June 15, the Interparty Committee, which met at the Interior Ministry in Athens on Tuesday morning, decided.
Fears over possibility of third ballot
Given that a third election is a distinct possibility in the case that frontrunner New Democracy decreases its electoral percentage and a seven-party Parliament emerges, the polls on June 25 have added significance.
