Patti Smith to perform on Slovenian-Italian border
Patti Smith, a celebrated punk poet, singer and artist, will perform on the border between Slovenia and Italy in October in a prelude to the 2025 European Capital of Culture hosted by Nova Gorica and Gorizia.
The 5 October concert will be held at a new venue in place of a former border crossing known as Rožna Dolina (Valley of Roses) in Slovenian or Casa Rossa in Italian.

Türkiye calls for calm in northern Kosovo
Türkiye, on May 29, called on all parties in northern Kosovo to return to dialogue and a sense of calm, as clashes between NATO troops and ethnic Serbs intensify.
"We follow the events in the north of Kosovo with concern. These events harm regional security and stability," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Tasoulas reelected Parliament speaker
Konstantinos Tasoulas has been reelected as the speaker of Parliament with 270 votes.
Lawmakers from New Democracy, SYRIZA, PASOK, and Greek Solution voted in favor, while Communist Party (KKE) MPs voted "present."
In a roll call vote with 296 participating MPs, 270 voted "yes" and 26 voted "present."

PASOK leader vows risk-free change ahead of June 25 vote
