Deste Foundation

Investigating the repercussions of technology on the human imagination, "Dream Machines" is a group exhibition at the Hydra branch of the DESTE Foundation for Contemporary Art (deste.gr). Curated by Daniel Birnbaum and Massimiliano Gioni, over 30 artists are participating in the show, including Jeff Koons. The gallery is located at the island's Old Slaughterhouse.

The DESTE Foundation and New York's New Museum pay tribute to the city of Athens and its constantly evolving artistic landscape in an exhibition featuring works by 32 artists of all ages and nationalities, organized in cooperation with the Benaki Museum.

The Benaki Museum's Pireos Street annex is hosting "The Equilibrists," a project co-organized by New York's New Museum and the DESTE Foundation, marking the latter's 33rd anniversary. The project brings together works by an emerging generation of young Greek and Cypriot artists working in Athens and abroad.

In association with the Benaki Museum, the DESTE Foundation for Contemporary Art pays tribute to prominent sculptor Giorgos Lappas, who died in January this year. "Giorgos Lappas Happy Birthday" runs at the Benaki's Kolonaki headquarters in central Athens, through November 20. The exhibition showcases a selection of the artist's more recent and lesser known works.

The Museum of Cycladic Art takes part for the consecutive sixth year in the international celebration for the Museums’ Night & Day, opening its doors to the public with free admission from 10.00 until 24.00.
