RSD 166 million for projects of business improvement

BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Economy released on Wednesday that it would allocate over RSD 166 million to back projects to improve conduct of business, attract investments and open new jobs in industrial zones in municipalities and cities.

According to a release, the Ministry of Economy allocated 166,430,000 for purposes of realisation of the programme.

Foreign Investors Shy Away From Macedonia

In the first eight months of 2014, Macedonia attracted €176 million in FDI, which was 11 €million less than the same period last year, data from the Central Bank show.

Macedonia attracted only €251 million in FDI in 2013, which was the worst score in the region, below Kosovo, which attracted slightly more - €259 million.

Bulgaria Remits 84% of Afghanistan's Debt

Bulgaria has remitted almost 84% of Afghanistan's debt accumulated in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century and rescheduled the remaining debt for 10 years.

Bulgaria Sets 2015 Poverty Line At BGN 286

Bulgaria's 2015 poverty line will be set at BGN 286 per month, said the government press office.

It is by 14% higher and is to be discussed at today's government meeting.

The poverty line is calculated on data of the National Statistics Institute on household budgets, prices and inflation and aims at covering a set of basic living needs.
