113 million People in 53 Countries Experienced High Levels of Food Insecurity

A report presented today jointly by the European Union, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the UN World Food Programme (WFP) finds that around 113 million people in 53 countries experienced acute food insecurity in 2018, compared to 124 million in 2017. 

Bulgarian Police Detain 75 Illegal Migrants in Sofia  

Bulgarian police have arrested a total of 75 illegal migrants in raids at three separate locations in Sofia over the past two days, the Ministry of the Interior announced on Monday.

The migrants - all of them males - had no identity documents with them and claimed that they were citizens of Afghanistan.
