Cells from pregnancy used to grow mini organs
Scientists have created miniorgans from cells floating in the fluid that surrounds a fetus in the womb - an advance they believe could open up new areas of prenatal medicine.
Miniorgans, or " organoids," are tiny simplified structures that can be used to test new medical treatments or study how the real organs they mimic work, whether they are healthy or diseased.

Mother, grandmother admit to baby's murder
A 19-year-old and her 54-year-old mother were arrested on Monday for the murder of a baby that was found in a street dumpster in the Athens district of Petroupoli in February.
The two women have reportedly confessed to the crime, while the 19-year-old mother of the infant said it was an unwanted pregnancy.

Dead baby found at bottom of light shaft
A coroner's examination of a dead baby found at the bottom of a light shaft in an apartment block in the Athens neighborhood of Nea Smyrni on Saturday indicated that the infant was born healthy and died around 12 hours before its body was discovered.

Expectant parents can now print models of their unborn children using ultrasound photos. The models can be 3D-printed in plastic and even in precious metals such as silver, gold and platinum.
Fraud charges brought against 19 execs at stem cell storage firm
An Athens prosecutor has brought criminal charges against 19 executives at a stem cell storage company whose economic collapse has left thousands of families uncertain about the future.
Charges have also been brought against the representatives of a leading healthcare provider which owned the stem cell bank until 2013. The charges include fraud and complicity in fraud.
Turkish Health Ministry calls for jail time for those involved in surrogate motherhood
The Health Ministry has initiated work to outlaw surrogate motherhood in Turkey and seeks to have the relevant law changed, introducing a jail sentence of between two and five years for those found guilty of the act.
