Doctor suspended from Cretan hospital after sexual assault conviction
Regional health authorities on Crete have suspended a specialist doctor from a local state hospital after a misdemeanors court found him guilty of sexually assaulting a minor, it emerged on Tuesday.
Crete's regional health authority asked the hospital, which was not identified, to immediately suspend the doctor, according to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
EIB signs 180 million euro loan to fund new Greek airport
The European Union's lending arm, the European Investment Bank (EIB), signed a 180-million-euro ($199.69 million) loan deal with Greece to help it pay its share for a new airport on Crete, the country's biggest island.
