UK's King Charles III diagnosed with cancer

King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer and has begun treatment, Buckingham Palace said on Monday, sparking a flood of support from around the world.

Charles, who became king upon the death of his 96-year-old mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on Sept. 8, 2022, has generally enjoyed good health, barring injuries from polo and skiing.

A dress worn by Diana, Princess of Wales in 1985 has been sold at auction for 11 times its estimated price, BBC has reported.

The black, ballerina-length velvet evening dress was sold at Julien's Auctions in Hollywood for a total of $1,148,080. It has broken a new fashion record as the most expensive dress, worn by Diana, sold at auction.

'The Crown' set for final season

Fans of "The Crown" are holding their breath for the final season of the hit Netflix drama about the life of Queen Elizabeth II, with the last episodes covering some of the most tumultuous times of the monarchy.

The 10 episodes of the sixth and final season of the series is being released in two stages, with five episodes on Nov. 16, and the remainder on Dec. 14.

Queen Camilla: Charles’ wife gets title on coronation invite

King Charles III's wife has been officially identified as Queen Camilla for the first time, with Buckingham Palace using the title on invitations for the monarch's May 6 coronation.

Camilla, who until now has been described as queen consort, is given equal billing on the ornate medieval style invitations that will be sent to more than 2,000 guests and were unveiled on April 4.
